What is the reason for doing this movie?
The story inspired me very much and I always wanted to be a part of such a film because the story of such anonymity is always needed to be told, people do not know. It is a matter of pride for me to be included in the story of such heroes engaged in our security.
Did any special preparation need to be done?
I have done research work on it completely and have tried to understand their work. How did he talk about that time and work on his running, etc., rest director Robbie Grewal has given a lot of support?
What did the difference between movies and TV?
The medium does not matter in acting. It has to act according to the character only in both movie and TV. There was no big deal for me in TV or movies because I was doing a good job on TV, in which I got the film ‘Gold‘ and I did it better to do it and I did. Many times I thought I would be back on TV after this film, but many films like Brahmastra‘, Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW), ‘Made in China‘, etc. I found it appropriate to be in it. Even earlier, films used to come, but there were not many good films so that I could leave the TV, because TV is my home, from where I learned acting.
Do you see the importance of your character while selecting movies?
Yes, I see, because sometimes a small role is also very effective for the film and I like to work in such a role.
You are playing a negative role in the film ‘Brahmastra’, do not you think you can be a victim of typecasting?
Negative character If you feel good and challenging, its importance is in the film then I have no problem in doing it because I like to play all sorts of roles.
How was the experience of working with John Abraham?
John is an experienced artist. His simplicity and methods of working from him are very good for me When you work with a big artist, you get to learn a lot from them.
Would you like to work on TV again?
Get the time and work on getting a good script. Now many of my films are coming forward, I’m shooting for it.
From Cooch Behar you have reached Mumbai, how do you see this?
I am very happy with my journey. Cooch Behar to Delhi and Mumbai, it was all very difficult, because there was a time when I was nothing and Ekta Kapoor gave me work, believed in me. The serial ‘Nagin‘ was my most popular and big show, which gave me recognition and today I have reached here today. Apart from this, my family and my friends who did not compel me to think negative and I got good work. I still like to work every morning in the morning.
Do you have any dream projects?
I want my heart to have a historical, musical dance film, in which I will do kathak along with acting.
Do you have any social work?
I work in social work, but I want to say that in our country it is very important to educate boys, especially in small towns and villages, where they learn to respect women. I am from a small town, where I have seen a male-dominated society. People keep slogans of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao‘, while this slogan should ‘Beto Ko Padhao, Na Smanje To Thappad Lagayo‘ the sons and do not understand if slaps’.
